Artist’s Statement
THE IMPORTANCE OF THE MEDIUM
I make separate areas of tempera and oil colour in my paintings to show the characters of both techniques. This alternating way of painting emphasizes the non-stability of the colour. The colour moves and creates an enigmatic space in the painting not defined by perspective drawing.
THE PAINTING HIDES
In my paintings the emphasized details describe an understanding of nature´s diversity. The subject may have figurative features based on perception or non-figurative ones bringing enigmatic story into the painting.
