Artist’s Statement
My works are emotions. I am a Finnish visual artist. For me art is a way to reflect on how it feels to live in the world. I try to capture the ambiences that the language flattens into words. Such as frustration, inadequacy, alienation and stagnation. Personally, instead of words, I use drawing, animation and textile sculpture. I am interested in the gradual, inconspicuous impact of repetition, unwritten rules, and thought patterns embraced in silence. I want to know what happens when nothing seems to be happening.
