.

She is mainly interested in small stories and traces left by life. She mostly works with textile, photographs and video. Making art of used objects, reassembling pieces into new stories and realities. Her works often reflect the past: trying to catch the time passing by, understanding the events around; rewinding and playing in slow motion.

Lotta-Pia Kallio´s videoworks touch the idea of Gesamtkunstwerk, she don´t work with big productions. Usually she makes all elements of the video herself: Paintbrushes, clothes, masks. ect. Each element works also independent as artworks. She always films alone with actress and edits videos herself. Then she can work with her idea and let it develop in peace.”
