Bio

Armi Nurminen (s.1981) is currently located in Espoo, Finland. She moved there for the master of arts studies in Aalto University. She has enjoyed the multisensory, close to the nature feeling of Espoo. To have a natural environment, sea and forest, is very crucial for her. She has been working as a sculptor with interest to site, either wilderness or urban. Her best known works are underwater sculpture Kalakoto (Fishnest), installed as part of Contemporary Art Archipelago (CAA) in year 2011 and Hjärtats saga (Heart’s story), memorial of national poet J.L. Runeberg and his wife Fredriga Tengström, mounted in Parainen, Finland, 2015.
