Bio Anssi Pulkkinen is currently engaged in doctoral research with University of Helsinki’s Academy of Fine Arts. He holds an MFA from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts, and has also studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam, and Aalto University in Helsinki. 2017 Pulkkinen realised major commissions with the Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux and ARoS Triennial. Recent exhibitions have included those at Wiels Contemporary Art Centre, Brussels, Gallery Titanik, Turku, Gallery Anhava, Kiasma Contemporary Art Museum. Pulkkinen’s work is held in key public collections including Finnish State Art, Finnish National Gallery, Helsinki Art Museum, Lars Swanljung Art, and Pori Art Museum. Pulkkinen has also delivered numerous public art projects in Finland.
