Bio

Riikka Wesamaa (b. 1970, Helsinki) is a painter living and working in Helsinki. Her primary technique is tempera painting, but she works also with oil and large drawings. She has been showing her works since 1995 in various solo and group exhibitions. She has shown her works for example in the gallery of the painters union and gallery Huuto in Helsinki, gallery Saskia in Tampere and in the Porvoo Art Hall. Her works are represented in the collections of Finnish State, Sara Hilden art museum and the Finnish art society. Riikka Wesamaa has studied in the Independent Art School (Free art school) in Helsinki and completed her studies in the Royal art academy in Stockholm and Aalto university's school of art, design and architecture in Helsinki.
