Artist’s Statement
Tero Kontinen (b. 1964) is a visual artist. He has graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki 1998.
He is working with painting and drawing, combining different techniques and contrasts to create a collage-like works. Subjects of the works are often dealing with the tradition of landscape art and natural sciences studying different levels of perception and representation.
He have had many private exhibitions in Helsinki. He have also been working in collaboration with other artists like artists group Romantic Geographic Society.
He has been a board member in many artist associations like Muu ry, The Finnish Artists' Studio Foundation and Galleria Huuto.
