Artist’s Statement

Through stories that are unseen and hidden, in my works I investigate representations of hair loss, gender, human's relationship with nature, and cultural heritage. In my multidisciplinary works, hair and hairlessness as well as handicraft and art intertwine, as I investigate connections to our environments, memory and each other, that are kept within our hair. I use hair as a material and a storyteller, which weaves my works into a physical archive of relationships, change and intergenerational phenomena.
