Saara Mesterton: Durme durme, Nuku nuku
Durme, durme tells about love and caring in Ladiono, an old variant of Spanish preserved among the Jews expelled from Spain, together with Muslims, in 1492. At the same time it relates about the miracle of keeping one's mother tongue while living in exile within a foreign culture. This old language and the songs of these fugitives are juxtaposed in the video with a cave, formed by the Ice Age and having given shelter to people during thousands of years, as well as with the painting which is being painted, as an animation, in front of our eyes.
