Ilona Rytkönen (1962, lives and works in Jämsänkoski)
Even if my painting is landscape-themed, it involves peoples: as a visible human form or as an invisible part, as an emotion.
As a painter, I look both inwards and outwards.
A mystical, symbolic, internally charged expression or the creation of some impression of a particular moment is more important to me than a documentary nature or portrait painting.
I mainly use oil and pastel paintings.
In 2018, I received a target grant from the Central Finland Arts Council of the Art Promotion Center (Taike).
