Artist’s Statement
Yukina Yamamoto 山本幸奈 (b. 1989), Japanese calligraphy artist from Yamanashi, Japan, currently resides in Jyväskylä, Finland. She obtained her 師範 (shihan) – Master in Japanese Calligraphy in 2019 in Japan.
Since 2019 Yamamoto has relocated to Jyväskylä, Finland and has been working independently and collaborating with Finnish artists and associations in Finland. She has done performances, workshops, and installations. Despite working such a brief period, she has come to realize artistic potential and market value of combining different art styles and cultures with Japanese calligraphy.
