With my paintings, I want to create aesthetic windows for homes and public spaces, from which the viewer can enjoy and gain an experience. As a painter, I am an explorer of painting. In my works, I investigate spatial effects and organic forms, the depth effects created by light, shadow, and mist. The goal is to control the atmosphere, the harmony of the painting, and the colors. Sometimes I also paint pure spatial color play. For me, painting is like a window to another timeless reality, and I want to share this healing experience, achievable only through painting, with the audience.
In addition to painting, I lead team-building art workshops for companies and teams, and I teach painting groups at my own school, Lapinlahti Art School, as well as at Omnia in Tapiola. In the art workshops and teachings, I use Leonardo's seven-step principle. It progresses from experimentation through vision to the final result. I also create my own guitar music.
