Artist's Statement

I´m researching myself and other human beings, the human behavior and nature in us and outside surrounding where we exist. How human nature appears in a human being. How the sivilized behavior clashes with the primitive behaviour and the animalistic sides, the law of nature where we people struggle every day inventing new rules for each other and for the nature. How we leave marks in the nature and how nature leaves marks in us. And what is left after us.

Bio

I graduated as Master of Arts from the University of Industrial Arts of Helsinki (UIAH nowadays Aalto University) in 2002. My major subject was industrial design and side subjects in arts, mainly painting and sculpture.

I always felt more home in the field of free arts than in the industrial production field.
The nature values and recycling are the things I want to support in my methods. Art gives the meaning of being here and reason to see further what happens next. It gives therapy while life hits in it´s unexpected ways and calms after effervescence. I can tell my own stories and perceptions in my own language which I understand most. And maybe someone else understands it and can make own interpretation of it.

I´m  using different mediums: sculpting, art performance, painting, jewelry, installation f.ex. Materials may vary but most of her artworks are based on the idea of disappearance.

My projects have been exhibited in many museums and galleries in Finland and abroad f.ex.:

-Birdies -scuptures in Rathenauhallen, Berlin 2015
-The Bush- art performance in Laru 15 Human Era -festival, Helsinki
- Paintings in Porvoo Art Hall, Porvoo, Finland 2010, group exhibition with Krista Kortelainen.
- `The Spirits of Medicin Containers´ in Aine Art Museum, `Facing Limits´-selected group exhibition, SKjL, Tornio, Finland 2010 and in Vantaa Art Museum, `Never retired´-selected group exhibition, Vantaa, Finland 2009.
- `Insects´ in Riihimäki Art Museum, `Recycling´-selected group exhibition, SKjL, Riihimäki, Finland 2009,- - `Communication through Colours´ in Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design ETDM in `Two Close Ones´, 4th Applied Art Triennial 2006, Tallinn, Estonia.

There are works on collections in City of Alajärvi and in Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. In publications there are works in :
