Artist’s Statement

In my works on paper, you can find carbon, chalk, ink, nights, jungles, women, people, feminism, climate anxiety, corona time pals, apocalypticism, art history, communality, hope, and love - preferably in the abundance of baroque style.

Bio

Hanne Lindström was born, lives, and works in Helsinki, the main techniques being drawing with charcoal, chalk, and Chinese ink.

Lindström studied Art education and photography at the Aalto University of Art and Design. MA.

Lindström has worked as a teacher e.g. Pekka Halonen Academy, Järvenpää School of Fine Arts for children, Lahti Institute of Design, Open University of Art and Design; she has been in Järvenpää City Council for 2 seasons, she has made set design in theaters of Central Uusimaa, organized art events, festivals, and exhibitions, and participated in several dozen exhibitions in galleries and museums, mainly in Finland, but also elsewhere.
