In recent years, I have painted mostly with ink and acrylic-based ink on canvas. Ink and salt seem like natural means to describe the moving and flowing nature of water. I work in series. The paintings in the sample photos are part of a series I continue from year to year. In most works, the unifying element is water, but they also deal with other themes. I have studied the issue of water in my works since the early 2000s, but the approach to the subject has varied. The underwater environment in my works is not so much a concrete venue, but rather a state of mind. Water is above all an element of emotion in my works. When talking or describing emotional states, for example in conversations or fiction, water-related expressions are often used. There is talk of drowning, drifting, floating, flowing and so on. The flow and depths of the water reflect the levels of the mind.
