Contemporary art
Artist in residence 2016, 2012, 2010, 2006, 2001, Paris, France, Cité des Arts; 2007, Hotel Chevillon, Grez-sur-Loing, France; 2019, 1999 Greece, Koroneos-building, Athens.
My artwork is international, whether in Paris, reflecting art, architecture, urbanism, forests in Finland, Carelian background, Greek democracy, Cretan pilgrims, nature, icons or poetry. Byzantine Orthodox Christian iconography and culture interests me: Tradition and contemporary art. Post-Feminist theory and ecological issues are present in my artwork. As an active member of Finnish Orthodox Church I communicate my orthodox Christian faith through contemporary visual language and conceptual art, installations, media interventions and photography. I am interested in nature and climate change and science as well. I have worked for Helsinki City Hospital as an artist.
