Artist’s Statement
My art is a way to process and bring out hidden emotions and phenomena. I want to make the invisible visible by being a part of the miracle of creation itself. For me, visual art is above all a spiritual experience as both a creator and a seer. For this reason, my art focuses on an abstract expression that I consider to be the speech of the soul.
I am interested in religions, mysticism, myths and mythologies, and the role of man in the universe. These elements, as well as the symbols, come out strongly in my art.
Most of my art is paintings and multi-techniques. In recent years, I have researched and implemented digital art forms and combined traditional painting techniques and digital image processing.
I live and work in Pori. My studio is located in a function house built in 1938.
