Artist’s Statement
I am born 9.9.1948 in Joensuu where I stil live and work.
I have studied at Suomen Taideakatemian koulu( later the Academy of Fine Arts of Uniarts Helsinki) 1967-68, at Taideteollinen oppilaitos (later Aalto University) 1968-72, where I graduated 1972 as teacher of visual arts, and at the Fine Art`s Academy of Hungary in Budapest 1976-77.
I am a printmaker. I build my prints layer by layer using several line and surfice techniques in a creative way and changing the transparency and the opacity of the colours. I also make artist`s books.
I am a member of the Finnish Graphic Artist`s Association and Joensuu Art Association.
