Artist’s Statement
Alisa Javits is a visual artist and director working in Helsinki with short film, multi-channel video installations and VJing. Her works have been shown in exhibitions and festivals in Finland, Europe and US.
Works combine images, bodies, music and text into entities which build emotions and appeal to associations The main theme is the contradiction between the inner and the outer in people, approaching for instance loneliness, desire, aging, sexuality and otherness.
