Alisa Javits: Seeing
Seeing speaks about aging and tries to reveal the person behind the wrinkled, old skin. It can be hard to see the human behind it, because age is such a strong category. The work is not a documentary. Work is a combination of memories, separate images, flashbacks and the voice-over. Those words are memorizing, pondering and question. The voice-over is based on my thoughts and interviews I have been making for several years.
