Bio The visual artist Kaija Kiuru (born 1959 in Sodankylä, Finnish Lapland) has studied sculpture in The Institute of Fine Arts in Lahti 1987–1991. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Culture and Arts and the degree of Master of Arts (Art History).
The relationship with nature in her childhood and youth together with studies of environmental protection and education in the 1990’s created the ground on which Kiuru´s art is based even today.
