Artist’s Statement

"I paint experiences from my surroundings. My main techniques are oil painting and monoprinting. Painting style is expressive; I empathize strongly with the subject. My work combines movement, experiences and memories. I often work on a project basis; I have the time, and the place as a starting point for my work. I spend time in the environment where I get the starting point for my work. I am particularly interested in movement and different rhythms of life; the landscape is full of lines that, when confronted, form constructions and moods. Some of them disappear into the empty air, leaving the end open. Landscape does not stop or become ready, it is different every day and moment."
