Artist’s Statement
Dear diary…”
Social memory creates images of past events in our understanding.
Individual experiences and collective, even those that have reached consensus, thus together form social memory.
Is the purpose of an individual person to be collective and shareable with others, I am not referring to social media here.
In response - Yes and no, yes in many ways and not in any way.
Sociality is not a core value for me, but happiness, sometimes of course also for the sake of sociality.
The figures appearing in my works do not purposefully depict or represent any specific person, but nevertheless share my thoughts on painting and happiness socially, because I think this world needs happiness.
I am an introvert, so it is of great importance to me whether a day is socially good or really good and sharing it socially good or really good. The works presented here are mostly painted on those really good days.
Mark Twain said - “The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer someone else up.”
