Artist’s Statement
I am a visual artist who works by painting, drawing and making different kinds of installations. Painting is the basis of everything in my art. I like to work on topics as entities, where the entity forms some kind of message. Ecological values as well as our relationships with other people and the world around us are enduring issues for me. My way of doing art is experimental and I’m interested in materials. When I paint, I use different kinds of tools from a baking spatula to a cleaning mop. I have used more recycled materials in my newest works: the history written on the material overlapping with the new purpose fascinates me.
