Bio

Visual artist Sara Ilveskorpi (b. 1970) lives and works in Kimitoö Southern-Finland. Ilveskorpi has multidisciplinary edjucation. She has studied photograph, metal- and glass techniques as well visual art. She also has gardener degree in organic farming. Sara Ilveskorpi works as a visual artist making installations, videoart and fine art prints. Recently Sara Ilveskorpi has been working in several community art projects. In 2015 she produced performance workshop called Moving In Kimito, together with activist and community artist Ange Taggart (Uk). In 2015-2016 she has been working as an artist and producer in the first triennial of community arts in Finland called RECEPTION http://www.vastaanplusotto.fi/briefly-in-english/ Reception was organized by the Saari Residence that is maintained by the Kone Foundation and Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) together with the cooperation partners. In 2017 Ilveskorpi works as an Kaarina city community artist.
