Mark Niskanen & Jani-Matti Salo: A Scene II
A Scene II is a public sound installation based on the rhythms of sea mark lights in Helsinki harbor. The work can be experienced on the observation deck of the Kaivopuisto observatory via your mobile phone and headphones.
On the hilltop, the sea mark lights are momentarily synchronized with the musical rhythms; they meet for a fleeting moment, and then the connection vanishes, over and over. The sound installation starts an hour after sunset and lasts until dawn every day.
