Background to this work is in my long lasting interest to gastronomy and it ́s history. My aim is to create strong and direct contact to food materials by photographies. I wanted to put audience into an uncomfortable situation, between attractive and repulsive, between beautifull and coarse. To achieve this I found a special printing technique where insted of the negative I used a thin slice of some raw transparent food material. I have used no camera nor film to produce the originals of these images.This technique really shows our food in a new light. Different structures of food materials appear in a large scale, creating in images some surprising emotions and symbolical meanings.
