Precarisation, the ecological crisis, and a commercialized, visualized culture affect coming generations as a massive sum of their parts that is difficult to perceive. The work of photography and poetry, Ida Uphill, describes a lonely woman's experiences of poverty and ambivalence in the contemporary world. The book is a social commentary on societal marginalization in Finland. It lies somewhere between text and image, slipping past definitions of genre.
