"Ball of Yarn (2020, art collection of City of Seinäjoki) by Tiina Laasonen is a hardwood installation in the stairs of the arts and culture centre Kalevan Navetta. The work was commissioned by City of Seinäjoki. The artist started the process already during the renovation of the building and it resembles on thematical and materical levels the building’s history and presence. Yarn and garments have belonged in Kalevan Navetta already in the beginning of the 20th century during the felt factory era and of course today with the crafts centre in the house."
