"Circle Dance" tells the story of 11-year-old Elina through dance, as she grows from childhood to adulthood. The film's other main character is Anna, a woman who has already experienced life and who supports the young girl in her growing-up process. The film takes place in the rehearsal hall of the Cable Factory and on the seashore in Espoo and Helsinki.Dance is an inexhaustible source of expression of joy, sorrow, and the diversity of life. It is also a unique means of interpreting the human mental landscape and nature. In "Circle Dance," reality and fantasy do not exclude each other but enrich the story of a dancing girl in her loneliness, as well as in her life experiences, in the echo of close people. The film captures the beauty of Elina's journey, both in her solitude and amidst the echoes of those close to her.
