The Monkey is a part of my series portraying animals. In different religions the animals are often important symbols when the religions are fighting with each other. The holy cow, the lamb and the monkey. The animals are not to blame for the wars they just live their lifes. Combining animals with an expressive background has been a a part of expressing my art since early days. The painting is painted with many layers of oil. The edges are also painted as a part of the painting. The picture is in a private collection.
