Elo-Syyskuu 2020 (eng.August-September 2020) consists of pieces of wood that I collected from all over Kokkola during a month (August-September 2020). The pieces were selected intuitively, one piece per day depending on what I saw that day. I painted the pieces at the same time as I did other works to my exhibition Yhtenä päivänä huomaat valon muuttuneen (eng. One Day You’ll Notice That The Light Has Changed), , which was on display in the autumn of 2020 both at Galleria Artista in Kokkola, Finland and at Studio+Gallery Rio11 in Helsinki, Finland. The colors of the pieces of wood were chosen according to what colors I used in my other paintings in progress at the time. A work is a kind of a work of working itself.
