A portrait of an artist pondering the life of a female artist. The video is as if about having a discussion with Helene Schjerfbeck. The narrative proceeds from referring to the birth of visual arts by drawing a shadow figure, through the narrator's own painting being painted, then further to painting also on top of a self-portrait of Schjerfbeck. Of this painting, Schjerfbeck once said, that her palette is lacking red, as her life has been devoid of love. The song in the video is about distance and longing, in meänkieli, an endangered language in Northern Sweden related to Finnish.
