Big paintings from the Kioto- series have been inspired by gates in Japanese Zen-gardens. A garden gate must Wellcome visitors in a pleasant way, as it is their first impression of what lies ahead.

Painting has many layers that create optical colour combinations and emphasizes gate's wooden materia in an expressive and abstract way. Dynamic movement is captured by using a trowel.
