Helinä Hukkataival: PURE ART

Keywords: interactive, durational, modernism, chewing gum, abstract art
Durational, participatory performance in Tampere Art Fair 2011

The participating person does the preliminary work by
chewing a gum which is in the action turned - with high hygiene - to a small, plastic covered piece of art on a business card.
The result is a modernistic, abstract, white on white chewing gum painting, free to the interpretations of the
chewer-owner of the work.

Pure Art was first performed in Mänttä III Art Week 1997, later eg. in Helsinki, Imatra, Oslo, Séte, Stuttgart
