Name: Origin of materials

The installation is a spatial bar chart that shows the distribution of materials used in clothing according to their origin. The chart is based on a sample of 301 discarded garments. The art viewer can physically experience how much each origin category, or bar, weighs. The origin categories are plants (21.6 kg), crude oil (19.5 kg), animals (2.6 kg) and metals (1.1 kg).
