Marko Acton Saarelainen: Acton – Chief Rebel Angel
I held "One More Time, Motherfucker" exhibition on November 2020. The exhibition was based on about 50 paintings. The theme of the exhibition was to combine graffiti lettering, Helvetica-letterface and lyrics or titles from various music releases. Some of the works presented were previously on display at House of Art earlier the same year, when I did my first paintings of this theme. This particular painting "Chief Rebel Angel" is based on the song by the same name by swedish metal group Entombed and it was originally released in 2001 on "Morning Star" album. The song is basically about devil himself and it is heavily influenced by movie "The Devil's Advocate", released in 1997.
