Graffiti is repetition: it both repeats the name of its writer as well as the style by the rules which the culture has set for it since the beginning. One key factors for the repetition is quantity. The more, the better. Graffiti is meant to advertise the name of its practitioners in a way that as many as possible would see it. The act of painting graffiti was originally called "writing", other terms for it were invented later on. I wanted to combine this extensive writing into my series of paintings based on Helvetica-lettertype. So the shape of the main letters reads "Acton" with Helvetica. The fill ins (the inside colouring of the letters) are done by writing multiple small "Acton" tags. So the theme is about repetition. Or more likely repeating my moniker. The painting was on display at "One More Time, Motherfucker" solo exhibition on November 2020 at Molotow Concept Store, Helsinki.
