Tuomo Kangasmaa: Clay
The starting point of the work has been the sounds of clay and its haptic properties in different conditions. Settling by the clay and observing its slow transformation is a meditative and captivating process. At times, the sounds of clay anticipate changes in its form, while at other times, sudden changes in the clay can be perceived simultaneously with the sound.
The working group—composer and sound artist Makiko Nishikaze, sculptor Minna Kangasmaa, and visual and media artist Tuomo Kangasmaa—began their project exploring the properties of clay in 2022.
