Hannele Matinlauri: Maailmani kaudet – Hauraus / Eras of My Life – Fragility
Eras of My Life - Fragility is a site specific artwork presented in Galleria Espoonsilta in 2007. It was a spatial installation of a private mental space consisting of photographs, fabric, stone, thread, illuminated eggshells, an object of feathers and bones, water, sound, daylight and space.
A Performance 'Heritage' was presented outside the gallery. Outside, in the street which represented the public space, there was the time line of the Earth, a 25 m long fabric line representing the natural history eras of the Universe and Earth and the periods of hominid and human existence, the length of which is less than one centimeter compared to the whole length of 25 meters. The line was placed on the street outside the gallery in the opening performance. It functioned as an installation during the exhibition.
