Mary Jane Gregory: Déjà vu (Already seen)

Completion year: 2010
Technique: glass pigment on thick recycled glass
Size: 70 cm x 25.5 cm
Keywords: Gregory, Dèjá-vu (Already Seen) lasipigmentti ja paksu uusiolasi (glass pigment and thick recycled glass) Arktisen maisema (Arctic Landscapes)
in 2009 I was for three months in a northern village of Inari, in the very north of Finland. I was there during the Dark Season, or when there is almost no sun. The reflection of the sky and snow brought me back to my childhood in King Salmon (Naknek) Alaska, and I started a new series of works. This is called Dèjá-vu, or "Already Seen".
