People write what they call ‘lives’of other people; that is, they collect a number of events, and leave the person to whom it happened unknown,” wrote Virginia Woolf in 1939 in her autobiographical text A Sketch of the Past. Kiss me is a performance based on the biographies and art works of various female artists who once worked in St Ives. Written facts are mixed with the memories of the performer. Kiss me asks: “Actually, who is the person to whom this all happens?”
