Eeva-Mari Haikala: Tableaux Vivants (Red Skirt)

‘Tableaux Vivants’ (2006) is a video performance series, recorded with a Super 8 cine camera. Very little takes place in these small performances: a woman steps in front of the camera, takes a pose and stays still, just breathing and concentrating on being. The twelve parts “Fruits”, “Apples”, Balcony”, Chewing Gum”, “ Geranium”, “Cigarette”, “Artichoke”, “Crab”, “Table”, “Anne’s TV”, “Crown” and “Red Skirt” can be shown together or separately.
