A short film about workplace harassment

Children are bullied at school. Grown-ups at work.

Everyone has experienced bullying. As a victim, as an offender, as a bystander. Anyone can end up being harassed at work. Every fifth employee in Finland has been a target of verbal abuse, harassment and bullying at work according to Statistics Finland 2003 quality of work life survey.

Workplace harassment is illegal. In reality there is no help available for the victim. None, even though life crumbles and job is lost. All the while the bully remains at work without sanctions. Also the society pays a high price for the harassment. The costs in Finland in 2004 were circa 85 000 euros per day, ie. 31 million euros per year.
