Annukka Mikkola: Viaje azul (Sininen matka)
Viaje azul (Blue Journey) is a memory of the Mediterranean, dedicated to a dear friend who brought me much joy. It recalls the shoreline’s stones, sea-smoothed glass shards, and water-worn pieces of wood—like the castle tower-like fragment of wood in the upper left corner of the work.
