My artistic output consists primarily of paintings and installations.
My approach to creating art is deeply process-oriented. My paintings convey a passion for color and the personal significance colors hold within a given stage of life. Nothing comes into being in an instant; the mystery—present even to me—requires numerous layers of paint on the canvas to emerge, involving an alternating analysis of the figurative and the non-figurative through the brush.
The works require the viewer to pause and be willing to listen to the piece.
A sense of both sensitivity and strength alternates within the work. Intuition brings forth themes rooted in my own emotional experiences; nature—with its multisensory quality—often serves as a mirror for these reflections.
Installations also play a significant role in my work, serving as a means to bring a personal memory or experience into the realm of collective experience.
