Philosopher and writer Kasimir Edschmid (1890-1960) has compared seeing the world in a way that truly understands it to walking a tightrope, because it is so difficult to unambiguously perceive our visible world. All living things on Earth have different interpretations of the visible nature of our environment; the world is only what our eyes, having seen it, present to us, as they please.

As a visual artist, I am interested in subtly interpreting the relationship between nature and the built environment, changes over time and in the art historical context. And how is man present in all of this? I am fascinated by conveying my observations through the means of expression of visual art, and I hope that the experience of viewing my works will bring a little bit of new dimensions, experiences and challenging encounters to our everyday lives, but also pure aesthetic pleasure.
