Merja Briñón: Hypostasis
Word hypostasis origins to Greek and it means existence and ultimate reality. In Christian theology hypostasis symbolizes one of the three powers of the Trinity. Hypostasis is journey to lower world and to the world we are living as well as to the endless cycle of the life. The installation is built utilising light, stones, glass, cradle belonging of the artist's father and western capercaillie, which in addition flying symbolizes personal strength.
