Johanna Pöykkö: Käännä itses ympäri
"Turn yourself around" In the work, I reflect on the need for human renewal, the requirement. What do you need to be able to do? When can you just let it be? The outside world is a mirror of the self. Between the self and the outside world, man creates his own protective wall. During elementary school recess in the 1980s, we played a circle game where they sang the following: "Let us spin silk thread, finer than hair, (red) a little wrong, wrapped, turn yourself around." This chord started playing in my head when the work took its final form.
