Sometimes We looked in the same direction installation consists of 10 moving textile sculptures hanging from a height of 5 metres. The work pictured in the Snowball Effect 2021 exhibition at the Oulu Art Museum. Sometimes we looked in the same direction: the installation is a fusion of many things. It's a spatial experience of childhood bed linen spinning on a string. The scale has increased as the child grows into an adult. The carefree nature of childhood can be present in the person experiencing the work. For the creator himself, elements brought about by the consciousness of adulthood are filtered into the mix, such as the need for protection, people's territory, and selfishness. Themes that sheet fabric carries with it. The elements depict adult territory. We are close, but far away. As permanently as pine trees in a heath forest, everyone stays in their own starting point and occasionally turns at the same time blown by the same wind. Even then, the most robust will not turn.
